Many people believe that once software is applied to a machine, errors won't be a concern. However, this is not entirely true. While the software itself is unlikely to have significant errors, when software interacts with hardware, certain inaccuracies may arise. In such cases, simply debugging the hardware often fails to achieve the desired results. Instead, we should compensate for hardware errors by adjusting software parameters. Today, our CNC lathe manufacturer will explain three common methods of using parameter compensation to correct errors in CNC lathes.
Reverse backlash compensation: Compensates for "backlash error" caused by gaps in the screw-nut pair, bearings, and other components.
2. Lead error compensation: Segmental compensation is applied to the manufacturing and wear errors of the ball screw, significantly improving positioning accuracy.
3. Verticality Error Compensation: Some advanced systems allow software compensation by inputting verticality error values through parameters.
The above are the three common methods for parameter compensation in CNC lathes to correct errors, compiled and published by Haisu Machinery, a CNC lathe manufacturer. We hope the following explanations will be helpful for you in future CNC lathe error correction.
